I offer a wealth of expertise in judicial matters, leadership, and public service. I'm dedicated to advocating for education and women's empowerment, with a proven track record of effective governance and community involvement.
My experience showcases my decision-making skills and integrity, which is one reason why I'm seeking a new role as Senator to continue serving the public and driving positive change.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a master's degree in social work. During my early college years, I paged for Senator John Charles "Jack" Lindsay, Sr. and soon after began public service in Dillon, S.C., as clerk to County Council. Later moved to Florence, SC with my husband and children. Leaving our familiar surroundings was a significant change but we embraced the challenge.
I had the great opportunity to work at the Florence County Treasurer's Office, where I met wonderful people from all walks of life. Each interaction deepened my sense of purpose and strengthened my commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
Talking with everyday citizens from all walks of life has inspired me to run for state senate so that I can play a role in crafting new legislation that reflects our community's values. I am committed to passing laws that uphold principles of fairness, justice, and opportunity for all residents, regardless of background.
